Kaleel "Teal" Salloum, Jr., Attorney

Kaleel “Teal” Salloum, Jr., was born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi.  After moving away to complete his formal education, then practicing law on Wall Street for several years, he decided to return home and make his career in Gulfport.  His practice areas include estate and trust planning and administration, tax planning, like kind exchanges, asset protection planning, business formations, business acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings and assisting clients with a wide range of business transactions.

Mr. Salloum received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame (B.B.A., 1985), with a major in accounting, and passed the Uniform CPA Examination in that year.  He received his law degree, also with honors, from the University of Mississippi (J.D., 1988), where he served as business manager of the Mississippi Law Journal, and was named outstanding student in the field of corporate law.  He received a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University (1989). 

After completing his formal education, Mr. Salloum practiced law on Wall Street from 1989 to 1994.  In 1994, he returned to his hometown of Gulfport, Mississippi, and has continued his practice there since such time.  He started with Frank, Rainey and Salloum, then in 1999 opened his own firm, Salloum Law Firm, PLLC.

Mr. Salloum is a member of the Mississippi State Bar.  He is a past President of the South Mississippi Estate Planning Council, served on the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the Mississippi Bar Association and, by appointment of the Mississippi Secretary of State, served on the Corporation Study Group in 2011.

He has served as Commodore of the Gulfport Yacht Club, President of the Gulfport Gridiron Club and President of the Waterside Homeowner’s Association.  He is married to Georgia Salloum, and has three boys, Teal III, Thomas and Court.  When he is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family, sailing, fishing and spending time at the Mississippi barrier islands.
